
ABOUT ZACK SIMONOFF
Zack Simonoff is a highly-regarded and experienced local attorney. He is known for being compassionate, thorough, and diligent in advocacy for his clients. Zack has spent his 26 year career representing people who are unable to speak for themselves. His first job out of law school was as a Full-time Prosecutor for the City of Lorain.

​Since 2000, the bulk of his work has been practicing criminal defense, consumer law, foreclosure defense and Landlord Tenant. That means that Zack Simonoff knows the issues that impact every day Lorain County residents, and understands how the legal system can help our neighbors. He also knows the importance of having a balanced, knowledgeable judge on the bench to provide timely justice, and to represent the values of our community.

As a veteran, Zack Simonoff understands the unique experiences and challenges veterans face when they come before the courts. Zack is the defense attorney for the Lorain County Veterans Treatment Court since its founding.

As a member of the Army National Guard, Zack Simonoff worked closely with men and women from diverse backgrounds from all over the country, which gave him a deep understanding of all types of people. His military service reinforced his belief in community, diligence, and integrity, all of which he will bring to the bench when he is elected judge. ​
EDUCATION
Zack earned a Bachelor’s in History from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1987. He attended Cleveland State University, Cleveland Marshal College of Law, graduating in 1998 and passing the bar the same year.


MILITARY SERVICE
Zack Simonoff Served in the Army National Guard for 12 years, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also worked as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Department of the Navy.

Defense Counsel for the Lorain County Veterans Treatment Court since its inception.

Formed and chaired the Foreclosure Section of the Bar Association and now chairs of the Real Estate Section and Criminal Law Section.

Served on the Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board.

Currently on the Board of Directors of the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County.
